CBAA - About the CBAA

CBAA - About the CBAA: "The Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA) is the national peak body for community radio and television stations. We provide leadership, advocacy and support for our members to actively provide independent broadcasting services and to build and strengthen local communities."

From Sally:
If you are part of a community radio/television station then check out what CBAA has to offer your organisation. Remember, by training, leading and supporting your staff and volunteers you will better retain a focused group of people. To have a successful station, you need energetic, skilled and positive people who know what the Mission Statement of your station is and follow it. Stations need people who can work as a team, follow policies, brainstorm and encourage others to come on board. The next person YOU encouragejust might be a future Station Manager or your station's new Breakfast Show host, so be enthusiastic and focused.

Build relationships with those organisations like CBAA who can help skill people, provide resources and information. This is time worth spent and can be a lifeline during those times when you need help.

Be different - enjoy the challenge!
