Community Radio at Mareeba

Wow!  This week has been quite an adventure!  Community Radio is certainly very much people working with people.  Often we think that radio is simply someone talking on air or music.  But Community Radio is so much more.  There are so many different ways people can be involved.  There's everthing from administration and reception to programming and production to online services and event planning....catch your breath....skills needed?  Team work, imagination, inspiration, action, planning, encouraging.

Skills I'm learning this week?  Well for the first time ever I started learning to use a mixer (thanks to our Tech Manager) and recorded some CSA's with no background noise (oh that sweet sound of silence!)

Our team of volunteers is growing with people taking on varied roles so the work load is spread more evenly.   Welcome to our new volunteers - I am so looking forward to working with you.

More exciting news for this week.  New programs have begun production with much excitement.  We're always on the lookout for local news and community events, so if you live on the Atherton Tablelands area please contact us
