Do you know what goes on in your local community?

Do you know what happens in your local community?  There is usually so much happening that everyone has an opportunity to be involved in something.  What do you like?  Arts, craft, photography, drama, markets, radio, bush walking or maybe even caving.  The local groups and organisations are numerous.  Why not check out your local community happenings?

How do you find out what is available?  Firstly, I suggest, you check with your local council. Then there are community notice boards, schools, websites, and libraries.  Ask your local librarian, they often have a good knowledge of local events in your community.  There is also the local information centres.  Here you met people who live, work and are active in their community.  They are a source of local knowledge and groups as well as pointing out local areas of interest.  Another option is to check out the local newspapers

So these are just a few tips to help you.  But get involved in your community - you can make a difference in your life and in other's lives positively by being apart of your community.

Enjoy life, live differently!
