Sally is actively involved with National Christian Radio Broadcaster, UCB Australia as an Area Advocate. Radio is an amazing media that can reach through closed doors and meet people where they are at in their lives. Christian Radio has been sometimes described as a "lifeline" to which Sally can personally testify is true from her own journey.Esther 4:14 tells us that Mordecai challenged Esther not to remain silent but speak up about what was going to happen to her people. Sally believes we are born for this time. Live to make a difference. Sally started in Christian radio as a volunteer approximately 10 years ago and continues to find this ministry to be an exciting journey where character is formed, faith is stretched and God is simply amazing!
"We get to meet people from across Far North Queensland. Being able to pray with people, encourage them and be with them the first time a Vision Relay station is switched on is truly a wonderful, humbling experience. So often many people in the towns we visit have been thirsting for Christian Radio and Christian Media for a long time. It's our priviledge to come on part of their journey and they encourage and inspire us to keep going. It's all about teamwork."
“When I started it was simply to be a contact person here on the Tablelands for local Vision relay stations but very quickly I realised that God was doing much more.
Radio is a unique opportunity for us to share the love of God with everyone. It means we can broadcast 24/7 on air the Good News. We can promote a positive voice in our communities. Some of the areas I am involved in with radio ministry:
• Sourcing sites for relay stations and liaising with people
• Raising funds locally and promoting Christian Radio

| You were born for this time. Live to make a difference |
• Liaising with groups around Australia who work in the Christian Radio Ministry
• Organising events to promote Christian Radio
If I can do this, so can YOU!
When I started in radio, I didn’t know anything about radio and hardly ever turned a radio on. Now Christian Radio is my lifeline, passion and ministry area. I can see that we have the most unique opportunity to reach out to our local community in a positive way that can show the love of God. We live in communities that are hurting, seeking hope, seeking life. If you can grasp hold of the resource we have with radio and what it can do we can change the world around us. Exodus 4:2 is where the Lord asks Moses "What's in Your hand?" It's as simple as people using what God has given them to make a difference in their community. Your time, talents, resources, love and compassion. You have unqiue skills and gifts which through radio can serve and impact the community in which you live.
I’m passionate to see people reaching their God-given potential, see families that are happy, healthily and loving; see people wanting to enjoy and live life; enjoy their work, know God personally and have a restored relationship with Him. To me seeing one person finding help instead of opting for suicide, or one elderly person finding comfort after losing their spouse, or one marriage being re-built, or one family growing stronger and closer instead of falling apart makes the work worthwhile. Radio is powerful, intimate and personal. It gets behind closed doors and windows and can reach people where they are. Throughout Australia, I get to talk with people in Christian Radio who are passionate, knowledgable and focused. There is a whole "family" in Christian Radio that serve their loca areas through this ministry.
I love to see people working together in teams and individually and learning new skills. The joy it brings when you walk with a group and see them complete their goals is wonderful, but it’s the journey that is memorable.
When you step up and out then God steps in and the most amazing journey of your life begins.”
